In its second acquisition in as many days, AccorHotels acquired Availpro, a channel management company that claims more than 6,500 clients. The deal builds on its digital services division for independent hoteliers, which Accor began assembling two years ago with the acquisition of Fastbooking.
The Availpro purchase follows the acquisition of VeryChic, an online platform for deals on hotels, apartments, cruises and other leisure break, which gives it an entrée into the private sales business.
Terms of both deals were not disclosed.
It’s been a busy week for Accor, which also partnered with Shanghai-based UnionPay International to make it easier for Asian guests to pay for their hotel stays in France with a UnionPay card.
Accor said the Availpro acquisition will complement the products and services currently provided to hoteliers by Fastbooking.
Fastbooking provides reservations, online distribution and other services to hotels. It has more than 4,000 clients around the world and has connected more than 2,000 independent hotels to the AccorHotels.com marketplace.
