As investors pile in and e-scooters and e-bikes pop up in an increasing number of cities, the only thing potentially holding the sector back is regulation.
In recent months, micromobility specialists including Dott, Swing and Beam have attracted significant funding and announced expansion plans.
There are also opportunities for the segment going forward, including to help solve the last mile problem and to deeper engage with tours and activities.
Duncan Robertson, general manager of the U.K. and Ireland for Dott, joined the PhocusWire Pulse: Green Light For Ground Transportation virtual event to discuss the company’s growth and some of the challenges the segment faces.
He touches on how Dott stands out from competitors in the space as well as the potential for partnerships with other travel companies.
Robertson also discusses how moving people out of cars and recycling parts of e-bikes and e-scooters contribute to sustainability efforts.
