The Mexican ultra-low-cost airline Volaris announced Wednesday the launch of an annual subscription service that allows travelers to enjoy unlimited one-way flights to all the airlines’ destinations for a discounted introductory fee of $400.
Seats in the program are based on availability. Subscribers will be able to book domestic flights one day before departure and international flights three days before departure, up until a few hours before takeoff.
Travelers can sign up now at an introductory price of Mex$3,999 or $400. Subscribers can begin redeeming their flights starting August 16, when the cost for the program increases to Mex$7,999 or $800. (The price differences between currencies are not based on conversion rates.)

Called Pase Anual, or annual pass, this is the airline’s third subscription-based offering in partnership with Barcelona-based subscription specialist Caravelo. The others are a monthly subscription program, V.Pass, and a discount subscription, V.Club.
Caravelo CEO Iñaki Uriz said Volaris’ new annual pass is the first subscription of its kind in Latin America.
“We strongly believe that programs like this are essential to generate solid recurring revenue streams and maximize customer lifetime value,” he said.
Jose Luis Vilar, co-founder and chief product and technology officer of Caravelo, said the success of the first two subscriptions inspired Volaris to launch the annual pass.
“Volaris’ team is one of the most visionary and innovative in the industry,” he said. “In 2018, they were the first to launch a true flight subscription, and five years later [they] are leading the way again with the first all-you-can-fly subscription in Latin America.”
The announcement comes in the wake of a series of subscription activity involving Caravelo, including the launch of the first flight subscription in Europe with Wizz Air and the first-year anniversary of Alaska’s Flight Pass.
