BlaBlaCar has offered to acquire bus ticketing and distribution service Busfor for an undisclosed amount.
The France-based carpooling platform says the acquisition will expand its inventory of third-party bus operators in a region where members total more than 25 million.
BlaBlaCar has been developing its services in carpooling and beyond with the acquisition of BeepCar in Russia last June, followed by Ouibus in November.
According to a statement, it began integrating buses into the platform from third parties in Russia and the Ukraine last year while in the rest of Europe it is expanding through its own branded BlaBlaBus label following its Ouibus acquisition.
The statement adds that bus booking in Russia and surrounding areas is beginning to shift online but currently stands at about 10% of all booking.

Co-founder and CEO Nicolas Brusson says: “By growing a multimodal bus and carpooling offer together and by accelerating the transition from offline to online travel booking in Russia and the CEE region, we can better serve bus carriers and passengers, and improve long-distance mobility across the region.”
Earlier this year Brusson discussed the company's plans for mobility with PhocusWire.
He talked about the funding of €101 million announced last November, which was led by French rail operator SNCF, and the development of an intermodal travel service by both companies for France.
