Corporate travel technology company TripStax has acquired B2B hotel booking platform Hotelzon from Travelport for an undisclosed amount.
According to a statement, the acquisition will boost TripStax’s existing modular offering with a hotel booking tool.
It will also enable the company to manage hotel booking data across a number of channels alongside its existing air content.
The acquisition of Hotelzon follows TripStax’s purchase of corporate booking startup TapTrip earlier this year and is part of a wider growth strategy.

TripStax was spun off as a standalone business from ATPi earlier this year and ATPi continues to use its technology.
The agreement to purchase Hotelzon also creates a long-term relationship between TripStax and Traveport, with the hotel booking platform continuing to generate bookings on the global distribution platform.
Travelport acquired Hotelzon in 2014 as part of its Beyond Air strategy.
Jack Ramsey, CEO of TripStax, says: “Since its conception, TripStax has been on the look-out for acquisitions which add relevant and complementary tech to its already powerful stack of business travel management modules. We are excited about the acquisition of Hotelzon as it gives us a solid opportunity to fully integrate a hotel booking module within the TripStax proposition, as well as add a serious hotel flavor to the TripStax Content module, over and above its existing air content.”
He adds that the Hotelzon team is joining TripStax and that the company plans to invest further in the team to boost existing customer and partner relationships.
“Our priority first and foremost though is to ensure continuity for existing customers and suppliers, making sure they have what they need, and so we will be focusing consolidating and integrating Hotelzon as smoothly as possible,” Ramsey says.
