The Data Appeal Company, part of Almawave Group, has acquired 70% of travel intelligence company Mabrian Technologies for €3.7 million.
The companies said the deal will lead to the creation of the “largest data intelligence company specializing in tourism in Europe.”
Italy-based Almawave Group confirmed the purchase price, which is based on an enterprise value of approximately €6 million for Spain-based Mabrian.
The combined companies have 160 data sources across 200 countries with a significant presence in Europe.

Mirko Lalli, chief executive of the Data Appeal Company, said, “This transaction will allow us to improve synergies at all levels, further strengthening our positioning and accelerating our growth in the tourism sector, where operators are increasingly investing in data as a strategic lever to generate a competitive advantage.”
Santi Camps, chief executive of Mabrian, added, "For us, joining the Data Appeal Company is a strategic decision with the goal to lead the market globally. A great team has brought Mabrian to where it is today, but now it is time to become part of a solid technology group as Almawave to take advantage of synergies and share know-how. This will allow us to continue helping the tourism industry to solve real problems with the most advanced technology but at a faster rate.”
This latest consolidation in the travel intelligence space comes after short-term rental insights provider AirDNA announced the acquisition of Arrivalist in July.
