Online travel agency EaseMyTrip has acquired B2B travel platform Traviate for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition is a first for India-based EasyMyTrip, which announced its listing on the stock market in India earlier this year.
According to a statement the acquisition provides EasyMyTrip with a new revenue stream as well as boosting its expansion in the B2B hotel and holiday space.
Traviate offers technology enabling travel agents, tour operators, hotels and destination management companies to connect and transact.
The transaction is expected to be completed in three months.
Rikant Pittie, co‐founder at EaseMyTrip, says: “There is a synergy between EaseMyTrip and Traviate where we leverage cutting‐edge technology to build a lean and efficient infrastructure. We are thrilled about this development and look forward to having Traviate as our perfect partner to strengthen our portfolio in the B2B hotel and holiday space."
