Travel software company Journera - one of PhocusWire’s Hot 25 Startups for 2020 - is launching a new product for hotels that gives them a real-time view of all aspects of a traveler’s journey.
Called JourneyVision, the software-as-a-service solution is intended to boost hotels’ personalization efforts by matching hotel reservations to air, ground or other relevant reservations that are published into Journera’s platform.
By harnessing this data, hotels can see arrival and departure information for a guest and tailor the experience to account for things like early check-in or late checkout, room preparation and available upgrade options.
The JourneyVision insights can help hoteliers drive ancillary revenue as well as improve operational efficiencies and ease travel disruptions, which Journera CEO Jeffrey Katz believes is especially important given the arrival of the COVID-19 coronavirus and surrounding uncertainty.
"In the midst of the current crisis and widespread travel disruptions, we are hearing from hoteliers that now is the time to take care of the many customers who must - or choose to be - on the road and in the air," he says.

"Over time the crisis will abate and these high-volume customers will reward the brands that take the friction out of the guest and arrival process."
Hotels of all sizes can use JourneyVision by integrating the product with their property management system without the need for additional IT interference.
Founded in 2016 by Katz, who was founding CEO of Orbitz Worldwide and CEO of Swissair, Journera’s commercial partners include Hilton, InterContinental Hotels Group, Marriott International, United Airlines and American Airlines.
To date, the Chicago-based company has processed more than two billion discrete travel events from more than 160 million travelers of those brands in the United States.
