Amadeus has become the first investor in Journera outside of the traditional finance houses to have backed the company.
The undisclosed backing comes four months after the U.S.-based company raised $11.6 million in a Series B round.
That investment was led by Andreessen Horowitz and B Capital, with participation from Pritzker Group Venture Capital and The Boston Consulting Group. All four investors participated in Journera’s Series A round in 2018.
Journera has created a platform whereby travelers can be tracked across the travel ecosystem and give suppliers and intermediaries the opportunity "connect the dots" of a journey for safety or corporate policy requirements, as well as provide personalized offers between or for segments of a trip.
CEO and founder Jeff Katz says: "Amadeus' network is a springboard that will help Journera increase collaboration with travel providers globally.
"The wealth of insight and technical capability that we can leverage as a result of our relationship with Amadeus will help us as we develop new solutions, grow with new customers and expand to new geographies."
