Kasa
Living, a San Francisco-based short-term rental brand and operator, is
expanding its business from apartment-style accommodations into luxury single-family
vacation rentals.
Launched
in 2016, Kasa Living partners with owners of multifamily and hospitality
properties to turn them into “stylishly furnished, professionally managed Kasas”
that serve both business and leisure travelers.
Now it
has partnered with a real estate investor – which it does not name – to offer
luxury single-family homes as rentals, starting in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale
area.
“We are
excited to enter the single-family leisure sector and offer our guests the same
high-quality experience they have come to expect from Kasa, but now in the form
of a luxurious single-family vacation home,” said Roman Pedan, founder and
CEO of Kasa Living.

“This
is an extension of our core value proposition, which is to unlock the power of
livable space. We see this as a significant opportunity to meet the growing
demand for premium vacation rental options and offer a consistent, branded
experience that has existed for years in the hotel market but has been lacking
in the vacation rental market.”
The
company says its vacation homes will offer amenities such as private swimming
pools and high-end kitchens, along with luxury household items and 24/7
customer service.
According
to its website, Kasa Living currently has more than 40 property partners and
more than 75 properties around the United States. In addition to taking direct
bookings on its website and mobile app, the company lists its properties on
Airbnb, Expedia and Booking.com.
Kasa
Living’s move into single-family homes puts it in more direct competition with
companies such as Vacasa, which noted in its Q1 earnings filing Tuesday that it
is working to address “elevated churn” of property owners from its platform.
According
to Crunchbase, Kasa Living has raised just over $56 million.
