Klook is experimenting with a new content format that allows users to directly asks questions to providers of tours, activities and accommodation.
The platform says Klook Live is being launched in five markets around the Asia Pacific region, claiming that the interactive format has an average uplift of four times the usual conversion rates of existing units of inventory.
The product works by pushing a livestream of content to users on a mobile device, giving them the chance to interact directly with brands, redeem promotion codes and book a product immediately.
The Hong Kong-based company says: "Customers can discover unique new things to do through bite-sized, interactive, and entertaining live content anytime, anywhere on their mobile device.
"Customers can look forward to a wide range of entertaining live videos from product and activity reviews, to itinerary tips to help them plan their future experiences better."
Klook Live was created with one eye on providing more interactive content via mobile - a growing trend, it says, in the Asia Pacific region where over 1.2 billion users consumed video content on their devices during 2019.
It also is hoping to encourage merchants of products to engage with users as they seek to understand details about services and bookings as coronavirus-led travel restrictions open and close in countries.
