Lufthansa Innovation Hub (LIH) is tapping into the remote and hybrid working trends through the launch of an off-site booking platform called Cloopio.
The service offers “curated team off-site packages” initially around Berlin with early customers including Eurowings Digital and ProductDock.
Cloopio provides transfer, accommodation, meeting rooms and catering, evening entertainment and team-building activities on the platform.
Christine Wang, managing director of Lufthansa Innovation Hub, says: ”The move toward hybrid working means that teams no longer have as much face-to-face interaction. This has a negative impact on a company's culture. With the off-site packages, we equip companies with a tool to strengthen the sense of cohesion within their teams. We are addressing a gap in the market and helping to drive the performance and creativity of companies and teams.”

A year ago LIH unveiled Global Spaces, a platform enabling travelers to book spaces to work and meet. The initiative was a partnership with Hubli (formerly MeetingsBooker).
The airline’s innovation arm has unveiled a number of businesses since its launch in 2014.
In early 2021, it spun off mobility business Rydes, with Porsche taking a share. The business was originally founded in 2018.
It unveiled sustainability marketplace platform Squake in mid-2021, which it spun off later that year as an independent business.
