Lufthansa Innovation Hub has unveiled a mobile application that rewards consumers for the urban transport services they use as well as intercity rail, bus and air trips.
Eurowings and car-sharing provider MILES is supporting the launch of the RYDES app, which aims to tap into the trend of consumers seeking alternatives to their cars.
Travelers are rewarded for using car-sharing, bike-sharing and e-scooter services as well as public transport and German rail provider Deutsche Bahn.

Reward points can be redeemed for free minutes with mobility services as well as vouchers for free coffee and with reward partners including Amazon.
The app, which is available via the iOS and Android stores, also offers the ability to earn additional points via “challenges” such as uploading a Ryanair, EasyJet or Eurowings ticket or booking a rental van.
This is the second launch for the Innovation Hub in the past six months, with its Yilu B2B travel platform unveiled last November.
The hub was created in January 2014 and has a build, partner or invest strategy.
