Vacation rental network RedAwning has made its second acquisition of 2018 - this time buying fellow service Leavetown Vacations and its Jetstream distribution platform.
Leavetown claims to have 2,000 buildings in its portfolio, giving RedAwning an additional 40,000 units in destinations across North America, New Zealand and Europe.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Leavetown's 25 staff will be joining the RedAwning Group as part of the acquisition.

RedAwning will have 140,000 properties on its books following the purchase of Leavetown, a brand that will sit alongside others in the group such as VacayHero and Perfect Places.
Crucially for RedAwning, Leavetown comes with a tech system known as Jetstream.
Speaking to PhocusWire earlier this week, RedAwning Group CEO Tim Choate says the deal is significant as the platform gives the company the ability to place multi-unit properties into important distribution channels.
Most of the sector's main players are connected to Jetstream, including private accommodation specialists Airbnb, HomeAway and TripAdvisor, alongside Expedia and Booking.com.
Many of Leavetown's buildings are in the "apart-hotel" category, Choate says, giving guests a private accommodation experience with serviced areas and utilities.
The properties will now have a full suite of services available to them on the rental side through RedAwning and on existing platforms such as Sabre's Synxis, AvailPro and Amadeus's TravelClick on the hotel tech side.
RedAwning acquired Blizzard Internet Marketing, a web services specialist for rental owners, earlier this year, also for an undisclosed fee.
Leavetown was created in 2008 by CEO Mike Liverton.
