Barcelona-based hospitality technology startup Amenitiz has raised $30 million to scale its operating system for independent hoteliers in Europe.
Eight Roads, Wallapop, Red Points and Chalfen Ventures led the Series A round, which Amenitiz says is the largest-ever Series A in Spain for a SaaS company. Point-Nine, Backed and Otium – which led the startup’s €6.5 million seed round in November 2021 – also participated.
Launched in 2018, Amenitiz offers a complete operating system for independent hoteliers and B&Bs to help them boost direct bookings and reduce their dependence on online travel agents.
In addition to a website and channel manager, Amenitiz provides hoteliers with a property management system to automate tasks such as invoicing and communication. It also offers a payment module called AmenitizPay, which launched last year, as well as a marketplace with additional tools from third-party vendors.

With the funds, Amenitiz plans to expand into new European markets, recruit 200 new employees in 2022 and launch additional products such as a revenue management system.
“As hoteliers awaken in a post-COVID world, they find themselves even more reliant on their digital presence and online distribution to rebuild and grow their business. Their current tech stack - if any - is incapable of dealing with today’s challenges and guest expectations,” says Amenitiz CEO Alexandre Guinefolleau.
“This is why we created Amenitiz, to empower independent hoteliers to master every aspect of running their properties and allow them to build a thriving business.”
Says Lucile Cornet, partner at Eight Roads and new Amenitiz board member: “Amenitiz has shown impressive momentum despite the pandemic. This shows how a 10x better product, which is intuitive and easy to use, can quickly achieve product-market fit in a sector that has seen very little innovation in the past few decades.”
Amenitiz supports more than 4,000 properties in 37 countries.
