Tmap Mobility, a South Korea-based mobility platform, launched this week a revamped navigation app that uses artificial intelligence to integrate and personalize services that range from searching public transportation routes to booking restaurants and hotels.
The new TMAP integrates driver-oriented services such as guidance on routes, parking and electric vehicle charging locations with public transportation. Now users can compare transportation by car with various means of public transportation, including a new airport bus option and a shared bicycle service expected to be added in October.

“All new TMAP is a new beginning of future mobility value that provides a new experience that has never been seen before through integration and AI-based personalization,” said Lee Jong-ho, CEO of Tmap Mobility.
The revised platform also expands the services the company calls its mobility life area, including reservations and information on restaurants, hotels and attractions.
The company, a spinoff from South Korea telecommunications giant SK Telecom, partnered in 2020 with Uber, which invested $150 million while integrating Tmap Mobility’s network of driver and mapping technology into Uber’s ride-hailing platform.
