After a four-year stint at Expedia Group, Mieke De Schepper is bringing her expertise in online travel to a new role at Amadeus.
The recently appointed executive vice president for online travel agencies and managing director for Asia Pacific is operating in a region that, some argue, is driving much of how the industry is evolving.
Whether it's the rise of the "super-apps" or global ambitions of homegrown players such as Ctrip or OYO Rooms, brands in Asia Pacific have learned from the pioneers of the past and working out their own ways to expand.
