Routehappy recently sold to ATPCO - a deal seen by most as a decent exit for a company that had been steadily growing for seven years.
It was an acquisition that actually made a lot of sense for both parties, allowing a company that had been on the scene for decades that wanted to shift gears to give the newbie greater exposure to the airline industry.
Routehappy's deal is one of the happier endings for a company trying to make its way in what it is often an extremely difficult to industry to crack.
We coupled the company's director of business development, Seth Anagnostis, with Phocuswright's resident expert and analyst on the travel startup community, Mike Coletta, to discuss the sale as well as a bunch of other issues that startups have to face in the industry.
