Texas-based hospitality startup Virdee has closed its seed financing
round with an additional $5 million, bringing the total raised to $9 million.
The new funding was led by prior investor Silverton Partners, with participation from all other prior investors including LiveOak Venture Partners and DJR Advisors.
Founded in 2020,
Virdee provides digital check-in and virtual concierge solutions that can be
embedded into a brand’s existing mobile app and that integrate with door lock
and property management systems.
Current partners include Oracle, Infor HMS, SALTO, Assa Abloy, Dormakaba
and Shift4, and the company says it is rapidly adding new integrations. In October
Virdee announced it is working with Virgin Hotels to improve the brand’s
digital check-in experience.

“This
financing comes on the heels of a year of rapid growth for Virdee, and we look
forward to announcing several new hotel-brand partnerships in the coming
months,” says Branigan Mulcahy, co-founder of Virdee.
“We are
grateful to our investors who share our vision for the future of guest
experience technology, and we look forward to working together to bring secure,
one-click check-ins to the hotel industry.”
Says Morgan
Flager, managing partner at Silverton: “Virdee is well positioned to capitalize
on pressing lodging industry trends, particularly the immediate need for
contactless interactions between staff and guests. We recognize the early
impact Virdee is making in the lodging space and are big believers in the
company’s potential to rapidly scale.”
Virdee’s last
funding came in April 2021, with $2
million added to its seed round.
