Strategic goals for 2022
In 2022, we plan to continue on Cabana’s path of momentum to bring even more consumers the opportunity to experience our unique travel experience. We plan to launch a four-person Cabana in early 2022 and will grow our fleet size to 300 Cabanas and expand
to a total of eight markets, drastically improving our reach and impact.
Taking a concept and ingraining it in society requires superior product quality that is consistent and easy for consumers to use. On the tech side, this means integrating
all systems into an all-in-one controller in the Cabana that can also be managed through our Cabana app.
On the hardware side, it means continuing to improve remote use capabilities, from our current six to seven days to 14 days, to allow guests even
more freedom in their adventures.
In addition to technical improvements, we’ll also be bolstering customer offerings like our personalized trip planning, long-term-stay options and customized packages to help make Cabana the one-stop-shop
for a modern, spontaneous and fun travel experience.
Lessons learned over the last year
The RV industry experienced explosive growth throughout 2021, and Cabana experienced those tailwinds - our fleet size grew by 300% and we expanded to L.A. Issues continue to plague the industry, though, with inconsistencies in products, platforms and experiences
leading to unmatched expectations and a chaotic user experience.
Our goal at Cabana is to make travel as seamless as possible. With 70% of our customers having never using an RV or campervan before, we learned very quickly to put a tremendous
amount of energy into the user experience, which is why we launched our personalized trip planning service and quickly grew it to accommodate all of our guests, and we also expanded our customer support team.
As we dial in on the hardware and
technology, maintaining consistently high-quality service is essential to the guest experience and critical for our feedback loop.
And as a result, 92% of customers plan to book again after their first experience, and we’ve booked over 10,000
nights since launching in the summer of 2020.
