Expedia Group is out with its latest Traveler Value Index,
this time capturing both preferences and expectations of travelers as well as insights
from industry professionals.
The report is based on Expedia’s first-party data and surveys of 11,000
travelers and 1,100 industry professionals across 11 markets.
The analysis sheds light on both permanent shifts emerging
in consumer travel habits and expectations as well as which trends may be temporary.
In an interview in the PhocusWire studio at The Phocuswright
Conference, Expedia for Business senior vice president and chief marketing officer
Cheryl Miller shares some of the findings – including input on topics such as
sustainability, cleaning and flexibility.
Miller also offers ideas on how travel brands can use this
research to set themselves up for success in 2023.
