Testing the loyalty of its customer base, rewards program tracker UsingMiles.com is adding a subscription service to its offerings.
UsingMiles (TLabs Showcase here) will still offer its loyalty program dashboard, flight and hotel cash-based search, and monthly account statement emails to all of its users for free.
But, new users would have to pay $29.99 per year for premier features, including alerts about expiring miles and points, award travel search and bonus award offers, the company says.
Current users will get grandfathered in to get the premium services for free, but new users will have to pay, UsingMiles says.
UsingMiles enables users to track their numerous rewards programs from a single dashboard.
The site says it is the only such service enabling users to search and book both cash- and awards-based flights and hotels.
The company informed users about the new subscription options in an email to customers.
