Low-cost carrier Wizz Air is working with airline subscription specialist Caravelo on the launch of a new product.
Further details on the service and which markets it might apply to have not yet been released.
Wizz Air already provides Privilege Pass, an annual membership offering seat selection, priority boarding and luggage for a fixed fee, but has stopped short of a subscription program so far.
It also offers a discount club with savings on fares and baggage for an annual fee.

Caravelo’s CEO, Iñaki Uriz, says: “We are proud to have been selected by Wizz Air for the development of this new product and are looking forward to working with them. Being chosen by a large and innovative airline like Wizz is testament to the strength of our platform and evidence of the increasing airline industry interest in our product.”
Alaska Airlines announced it was launching a subscription service developed with Barcelona-based Caravelo about a year ago while Avianca revealed at a recent CAPA event that it was also working with the subscription specialist. Caravelo powers subscription products for Mexico-based ultra-low-cost carrier Volaris and Flysafair, a low-cost airline based in South Africa.
Caravelo recently announced funding of €3 million saying at the time that revenue from its subscription solutions doubled in the first half of last year and that it expected a fourfold increase by the end of 2022.
