It’s been a busy year for Montreal-based Plusgrade. In July
2022 the company acquired loyalty commerce solution Points and then in
January of this year it acquired Upstay,
a startup focused on upsell products and services for hospitality.
With the additional power of those
two companies, Plusgrade has been accelerating work to help hospitality
companies drive loyalty – and revenue – through ancillaries.
Plusgrade now works with more than 200 airline, hospitality,
cruise, rail and financial services partners.
In an interview with PhocusWire editor in chief Mitra Sorrells, Plusgrade
senior vice president and chief revenue officer for hospitality ancillaries,
Paul Rantilla, explains the company’s strategy of focusing on ancillary
retailing with an expertise in loyalty and personalization.
“Our vision is to make sure loyalty currency can be utilized,” he
said.
Rantilla also discusses effective strategies for using ancillaries
to drive revenue. “It’s about the right offers at the right time,” he said.
