Four months after closing a $185 million Series C funding round that it said would be used to fuel international expansion, hospitality technology platform Mews is acquiring Montreal-based Hotello.
Terms of the deal are not being disclosed.
Founded in 2001, Hotello provides a cloud-based property management system for more than 500 hotel properties in the United States and Canada.
The Hotello brand will remain and the team will join Mews, which provides cloud-based property management solutions for operations, payments, guest experience, business intelligence and more to more than 3,500 properties in 80 countries.

“The PMS category continues to experience remarkable innovation and growth,” said Richard Valtr, founder of Mews.
“Hotello has everything we’re looking for in an acquisition: great people, great customers and a passion for hotel technology. This partnership also represents a further investment in the North American markets where we continue seeing strong adoption of cloud and autonomous technologies, and hospitality brands looking for solutions that will serve them long into the future. I’m delighted to bring Hotello into the Mews family.”
Mews Ventures, the company’s venture and investment arm launched in July, managed the acquisition. This is Mews’ sixth acquisition in the past four years, with others including Bizzon and Cenium in 2022, Hotel Perfect in 2021, Base7Booking in 2020 and Planet Winner in 2019.
“When I first met with Mews I could tell our vision for the future of hospitality were aligned,” said Anaïs Berzi, CEO of Hotello.
“This is an incredibly exciting moment for the team, our customers, and the future of hospitality. We had a number of offers, but Mews has a proven track record of pushing the boundaries of innovation in this space and has successfully integrated other teams and products like Hotello. We’re really looking forward to what the future holds.”
Founded in 2012, Mews is based in Amsterdam and has offices across Europe and in the U.S. and Australia.
