London-based the Access Group, a
global provider of business management software, has acquired Houston-based hospitality
technology specialist SHR.
Terms of the acquisition have not
been disclosed, but a spokesperson said the SHR team would now become part of the Access Group.
SHR provides a central
reservation system, internet booking engine, customer relationship manager,
revenue management system and digital marketing and loyalty program solutions for
hotels and casinos. It also has an artificial intelligence-powered suite of
tools – built on technology

for customers to increase conversion, upselling and cross-selling.
The Access Group said it will now
add SHR’s capabilities to its growing AI-powered platform within its Access
Hospitality division that also includes property management software
Guestline, which Access acquired last year.
“SHR is undoubtedly the world's leading automated
hotel technology platform and a significant addition to our hospitality
